Andrew
Millison was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. He moved to
Arizona in 1994 and has been studying permaculture and sustainable
design ever since. He received his B.A. from Prescott College
in 1997 in Ecological Design, and his M.A. in Horticultural Preservation,
also from Prescott College, in 2002. His graduate studies centered
on the heirloom fruit tree heritage of Arizona.
Andrew spent two years managing the organic farm at Arcosanti,
a year and a half apprenticed to a local landscape contractor,
and (as of 2006) five and a half years running his own landscaping
business. This included a two-and-a-half year, million dollar
orchard and vineyard project on the steep slopes of Jerome, AZ.
Andrew has been teaching the Permaculture Design Certification
course at Prescott College since 2001, and at the ECOSA Institute
since 2003. In 2005 Andrew also taught Introduction to Ecological
Design and Advanced Permaculture at Prescott College. He has conducted
numerous workshops on greywater reuse, rainwater harvesting and
other basic permaculture principles for the local community. |
